Something To Be Thankful For card by Patty Folchert

This time of year most of us take a step back and contemplate those things in life that we are most thankful for. Here is a card to share with one of those individuals that fit well into that category. Maybe a bit more colorful than most Thanksgiving cards but bright and cheerful fits any season I think. This card was made with two new wood block stamps from Hampton Art and new papers and embellishments from Jillibean Soup.

This new stamp set features more of the coloring book theme, so using my brown ink I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and let dry. Once dry I painted with watercolor paints as shown. Next I grabbed one of these fab new watercolor tags and stamped the sentiment in the same brown ink and set aside to dry.

Then I decided on the base color and mats using the stamped image as my guide and trying to stick with fall colors. I also left a white border around the stamped image for effect. Afterattaching the mats as shown I added the stamped image.

Then I tied the bow of the tag and added it with 3D foam dots as shown. But it still needed something, so I added the new painted wood veneer heart and it was the perfect final touch.

I predict a bright and cheerful Thanksgiving for whomever receives this card. Best wishes for a warm and welcoming Thanksgiving for you and your family!

Grateful for You,
Patty Folchert
