Encouragement cards by designer Gretchen McElveen

Hi there! I’ve got a couple cards to share with you today. I’ve got some friends going through rough patches right now and I wanted to give them something positive and encouraging. I used the “Saffron Yellow Pepper Soup” line from Jillibean Soup to make a couple of cards to {hopefully} make them smile. Who doesn’t love a handmade card!?

I started with kraft cardstock as the base of each card. Then I used the patterned paper, stickers, and die cuts from “Saffron Yellow Pepper Soup” as the background paper and embellishments. For the sentiment on each card, I used the “Everyday” notebook tags. Have you seen these?! There are 35 tags in a pack and there are so many cute sayings to choose from! Perfect for cards! I added a brad to the hole in each tag. Then I used foam adhesive to adhere the tags and some of the die cuts to give the cards some dimension.  Easy enough, right??!  And hopefully they will make my friends smile!
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
