Hello Treat Bag by designer Patty Folchert

Looking for a favor bag for grown-ups? Stamp your own! Here is a super simple example of a stamped party favor bag made with a plain kraft paper bag and some Hampton Art stamps.

Hello Treat Bag by Patty Folchert

It is often impossible to find just the right party favor bags for that special event. Out of necessity, creativity happens. This is a perfect example of how those stamps in your stash can be brought back to life to dress up your next event. These bags would be fun for a ladies tea, appreciation dinner, teacher gift, the possibilities are endless.

To make this one I grabbed two new stamps, one from a set the other a wood block stamp. Using brown ink I stamped the bird cage image first, then I added the word bubble image. To dress it up just a bit I added stitching to bottom edge in white thread with my sewing machine and then also added a simple cotton twine bow with a glue dot. Then the real fun is choosing what to hide inside the favor bags.

Sometimes less is more when we stamp. Not always my strength, but I continue to learn as I create.
Keep Learning,
Patty Folchert

More Than You Know card by designer Patty Folchert

Is there someone special in your life that you love more than they will ever know? We have a card for that. Utilizing the brand new Hampton Art Stamp set and some scraps this is a lovely card to share.

More Than You Know card by Patty Folchert

Using three different stamps from the same set I was able to create the background, lace and middle sentiment mat. I began by stamping in brown ink onto white woodgrain paper the “lace” circles and cutting them in half to make a scallop on each end.

Next using red ink I stamped the “love” stamp onto the coral cardstock to create the background paper, see photo above. Then I adhered it to the kraft card base. Then I layered on the lace pieces and then using my sewing machine sewed them onto the card base as shown. Then I cut out the Jillibean –Record Your Numbers mini chevron paper as a mat and attached to card base center. Then I stamped the main sentiment onto the Jillibean Soup- kraft triangles paper and cut out as shown rounding the corners and inking the edges with brown ink. Then using foam dots I added the sentiment panel at an angle. I still needed something to finish it off, so I added a Jillibean button with a pearl layered on top.

Now that special someone can know how much they mean to you, start stamping!
Love Conquers All,
Patty Folchert

A Million Little Things card by designer Patty Folchert

Today I want to share a sweet friendship card made with the lovely Jillibean Soup Summer Red Raspberry Soup and new Hampton Art Wood Stamp.

A Million Little Things card by Patty Folchert

I started with a light yellow card base and layered a mat of the diagonal stripe. Next using the same collection I selected three coordinating papers and cut the banner strips as shown and layered them onto the card.

Then I sewed the mat to the base with white thread using my sewing machine. Then I stamped the new Friendship wood stamp in black ink onto one of the Jillibean File cards from the Soup Staples Sides collection. Last I added the green vellum star.

A real quick and easy card for a friend to show some appreciation for all the little things they do.
Friends Forever,
Patty Folchert
