Once in a while we encounter a couple that has struggled to have their own child. In my case the two were friends of ours from church camp and had come down a difficult road of disappointments prior to the successful arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Emma. So I wanted to make a very special card to celebrate the blessed event, in fact her arrival just happened to occur during church camp this summer. So I reached for the adorable Echo Park Bundle of Joy stamp set and paired it with some Bella Boulevard papers in pinks and yellows.
Princess card by Patty Folchert
I started by selecting the yellow chevron as the card base, then I picked out which stamps I wanted to use and stamped them in pink ink. Then I matted the little girl sayings stamped image with yellow paper first, then the flower patterned paper and then finally the pink hearts paper which I used a decorative corner rounder on. Then above the first image I built a topper beginning with a washi tape border in yellow chevron and then layering the five other stamped images. The two banner pieces first and then the two smaller flowers then finally one large flower stamped image in the center. At that point I added a crochet heart and butterfly sugar pick. All that was left was to add a small white ribbon bow and a couple pink gemstones centers to the two smaller flowers.
I think it turned out fit for a princess, and just perfect for them.Patty

The concept for this card began with the seed packet stamp set from Jillibean Soup. I wanted to keep a vintage feel and was able to accomplish that with a mixture of Jillibean Soup papers and some texture rich burlap.

Ready, Set, Grow card by Patty Folchert
First I stamped the seed packet image in brown ink onto Leek Bulbs paper and then I distressed the edges. Then I added the vintage string bow around the seed packet. After that I added a thin mat in Baby Carrots paper popped up with foam dots onto a layer of burlap to add some dimension. The last mat is the Chicken Base paper which I adhered onto the card base of Sea Salt paper. To create the border banner across the bottom use the other side of the Sea Salt paper to make a banner piece with Baby Carrots paper layered in the center. The sentiment was stamped in brown ink onto the Leek Bulb paper and cut out. The green pearls were an afterthought, but just what the card needed for the finishing touch with a pop of my favorite color, green.
“Ready, Set – Give it a go” and have some fun creating this vintage layered card.
