Gloria Stengel and Gini Williams Cagle get inky with stunning cards!

Steampunk Happy Halloween

Wishing You A Happy Halloween  card by Gloria Stengel

It is not too early to start creating fall and Halloween cards. I created this Steampunk Halloween card with just a few stamps and some paper scraps.

I stamped the winged clock image onto cream paper with black ink. After I fussy cut the clock from the paper, I sponged on some gray chalk ink.

To create custom background paper, I stamped the blue printed paper with gear images and watermark ink. I then embossed the images with metallic embossing powder.

I fussy cut the Halloween image from paper, but you could also stamp a message for your card.

Steampunk Birthday

Happy Birthday card by Gloria Stengel

To create the stamped and embossed panel on the front of this card you only need an embossing folder, a few stamps, and some ink. What could be easier?

1. Use several metallic inks to add color directly to the stamp, and then stamp the dress form image onto kraft cardstock.

2. Allow the ink to dry and then emboss the kraft cardstock with an embossing folder. Rub the raised surfaces with brown chalk ink.

3. Using metallic inks, stamp gear images onto the cardstock, overlapping the raised embossing and the main stamped image as desired.

4. Trim panel to size and use it to create a card.

5. Decorate the inside of the card to match.

Hi, it’s Gini back to share a project with you.  It seems in the paper crafting world, we are always working ahead of seasons to be ready for the upcoming themes and holidays.  Fall is my favorite time of the year, so I thought an elegant Halloween card would be nice to share.

Ink the edges of the layers of the card.  Die cut a birdcage and glue off-center.  Add a ribbon bow to the top of the birdcage.  Stamp the bird with watermark ink, and heat emboss with silver powder.  Fussy cut the image and adhere to the card with foam adhesive.  Add the sentiment using sticker letters.
