Lookout For That Tree! layout by Leanne Allinson

Look Out for that Tree! layout by Leanne Allinson

Hi Everyone.  It's Leanne here today to share with you a fun 8.5in x 11in layout.  I absolutely fell in love with the bicycle clear cling stamp in the Jillibean Soup | Irish Farm House Soup large stamp set (JB0012) and knew that I wanted to use it on a layout to documents my son's bike riding journey.  When he was learning to ride his bike, we took him to a very open space, so he learn without fear of crashing into something.  Unfortunately he found every tree in the area and kept riding directly  into them. No matter what we tried to do to help him over come his compulsion to aim for trees, he still couldn't avoid them!

When I created this layout I really wanted the bike stamp to become a main feature.  I stamped the image with VersaMark to create a watermark look onto the kraft tag.  I then stamped a second image of the bike with a slightly darker ink (sepia) onto a second tag and fussy cut around it. Using foam tape, I've layered the fussy cut bicycle onto the same stamped  image to make it pop on the page.

supplies:
stamps: Jillibean Soup | Irish Farm House Soup large (JB0012), Jillibean Soup | Chilled Cucumber Small set 2 (JB0042), Echo Park | Oh Snap (SC0529)
ink: VersaMark Dazzle (Champagne), Archival Ink (sepia), Close To My Heart (crème brulee)
papers: Jillibean Soup | Grandma's Lima Bean Soup, Country Pumpkin Soup, Yellow Salt, Blossom Soup
embellishments: Jillibean Soup | Grandma's Lima Bean Soup coordinating cardstock stickers, Bean Stalks, Kraft tags.

Laurel here.  I am really loving the speech bubble and eyeglasses trend right now.  There are many trends that I don't take to but these are ones that I am enjoying so I decided to put them both together on this card.  I have mounted the glasses and stamped bubble on foam squares for some added dimension.  The addition of the little heart brad is a nice touch - I knew I had hung on to these little brads for a reason!

Good Morning!  Kim here with a card for you created with the Kiss Me Collection from Bella Blvd along with the coordinating stamp set from Hampton Arts!  I love sentiment stamp and this set has quite a few great ones to choose from! The word bubbles are fabulous to use with the corrugated people from Jillibean Soup, so that was my starting point!

I stamped the {heart} you image twice, once in hot pink and once in Navy blue.  After paper piecing that together, I popped it onto my card with foam squares for dimension.

Fragile Dragonfly card by Vivian Keh

Hi there, folks!  Today I have a card for you that whipped up super fast!  Usually my projects are somewhat intricate.  But I swear this one was easy peasy.  Despite being so simple, the results are very much in line with a look that I love!
Fragile Dragonfly card by Vivian Keh
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Mist a sturdy piece of paper ( I used Bristol Vellum) with water and a few colors of mists and allowit all to mix on the surface a bit.  Allow to dry.
2. Stamp with black ink.
3. Swipe distress ink along the edges.
4. Adhere to card base.

For this project, I used the beautifully ethereal Hampton Art/Art Warehouse "Vintage Dragonfly" PS0710 Woodblock Stamp. The detail in this magical creature is fantastic, don't you think?  Along the side, I used a bold, distressed HamptonArt/7 Gypsies "Fragile" PS0735 Woodblock Stamp.
DESIGNER TIP: If you are nervous about misting, try playing around with it on a large surface, perhaps a whole sheet.  Then find areas that you like and cut them out to serve as a base for your project.
Until next time,

-Vivian

She Left Beauty card by Gini!

Hi!  It’s Gini back to share another card with you.  I love the silhouette craze that has swept the paper crafting industry.  It’s vintage and elegant – which is just up my alley.
She Left Beauty Wherever She Went card by Gini Williams Cagle
To make this elegant card, cut your patterned papers as seen on my card.  Stamp the sentiment , centered on the lower portion of the pale green patterned paper.  Stamp the wreath onto a text paper, then line up the silhouette, and stamp it inside the wreath.  Cut this out, ink the edges and apply to the green paper, using foam adhesives.  Use a small scalloped punch to create decorative edges of text paper, ink the edges and layer under the stamped panel.  Add pearls along the scallops.  Finish with crocheted ribbon and a paper twine bow.

More cards using Bella Blvd licensed stamps!

So glad we’re friends card:
Hello Hampton Art fans! Today, I am sharing a quick card made using the Bella Blvd cling stamps released at winter 2013 CHA.
So Glad We're Friends card by Nicole Nowosad
I loved the flower stamps and went to work using those as inspiration for the card. I pulled out some of my Bella Blvd papers too and started layering my stamped flowers over my patterned paper base:

Although I stamped my images on patterned paper, I used co-ordinating colors of ink so that the stamp imaged popped a bit.  I added a stamped sentiment and a few stickers and then I was done! I also used a similar yellow ink to create a tone on tone pattern using the cute heart stamp in the Love & Marriage set:

Layout and Card by Nicole Nowosad

Celebrate card:
I wanted to create a quick and easy card for a birthday that my son was going to. So, I pulled out some of the KI Memories Mini Celebrations paper and got to work.
I noticed the little banner strips on the paper and so I started by adding some thin strips of patterned paper, for a washi tape look.  To, that I added some stamped arrows along those thin paper strips of patterned paper and a pennant cut sentiment that I stitched to the card front.
Celebrate card by Nicole Nowosad
Since I am an addict of 3d adhesive, so for this card, I punched a star from the background and added some bright cardstock in behind it, using the 3d adhesive along the entire back of the card.

Supplies:
KI Memories Mini Celebrations paper – Happy Birthday (KI10058)
Bella Blvd cling stamps – Sand & Surf (IC0226)

Already Four layout:
Nicole here again to share a quick layout using lots of Hampton Art stamps and papers!
Already Four layout by Nicole Nowosad
I love the fun colors in the KI Memories Mini Celebrations paper, and the smaller card size shapes. I started by trimming out a few of my favorite card sized pieces from the patterned paper and used that on my page.
I added some mists for little pops of colour and then cut down one of the KI Memories Bejewelled papers the same card size shape.

I added some stamped hearts using the Bella Blvd Love & Marriage cling stamps and some stitching details too.

I added some detail to the stamps by painting on the stamped images with some watered down mist for dimension:

I love all the colors in the chevron patterned paper pull the page together.

Butterfly Wishes Card
May wishes to you, Patty here with vintage look card for my Mother created with KI Memories papers and 2 different Hampton Art stamp sets. My mother loves the old fashioned look so I took advantage of the new KI Memories Vintage Charm collection.

Butterfly Kisses, Butterfly Wishes card by Patty Folchert
I began building this card on top of the “Blue Ledger” paper, which I stamped with the doily stamp in brown from the Hampton Art/Echo Park-Oh Snap stamp set. Then I fussy cut out the roses from “Roses” paper. I then added a ruler border strip from the “Rulers” paper. Then I utilized the fun “So Very Sweet” ruffle sticker. To add some more texture I chose the ruffle sticker strip of “Roses” with the fringe edge. To complete my theme I then fussy cut two butterflies from the paper “Butterflies”. The Jillibean Soup –Chilled Cucumber Large Stamp set offered the perfect sentiment for my card, “Butterfly Kisses, Butterfly Wishes.;”  Which I stamped onto the “Blue Ledger” paper and popped up with foam dots. Then I just added a punched border strip and some pink vintage trim to finish the card off.

Bundle of Boy Shadow Box by Patty Folchert

Bundle of Boy Shadowbox
Spring wishes to you all, Patty here today to share a baby boy project with you.  Earlier this month I had the chance to play with the brand new Echo park/Hampton Art stamp Set- Bundle of Joy. I created a card for the Echo Park Blog Hop that was featured here on the blog. I remembered that I had a shadowbox in a light blue color that might match this collection, and sure enough it was a perfect match. So I created this altered shadowbox below for my son’s room using the Echo Park/Bundle of Joy Collection Pack and the matching stamp set.
Bundle of Boy Shadow Box by Patty Folchert
The banner was stamped with three different stamps from the collection, the star, asterisk and duck. The stars were stamped in dark yellow onto the ledger paper side of the cutouts page then stamped again with the asterisk stamp in green ink. The pennants were cut from the green patterned paper, stapled onto twine and embellished with blue gemstones. The ducks were stamped in yellow ink onto white price tags and added to the banner with tiny blue gemstones added for eyes.
So don’t be afraid to snatch up a clearance shadow box and alter it! It can be easily transformed into a treasured décor piece for your home or an extra special gift for a friend or family member.

Spring has finally arrived here in central Ohio and I couldn’t be happier. Patty here with a breath of fresh air card featuring some brand new Jillibean Soup/Chilled Cucumber soup papers and stamps. The idea for this card began with the “Be Original” stamp and I used it to set the theme of the card.

To complete the theme I punched out a butterfly and then layered the green chevron paper, “Sherry Vinegar” underneath. I then stamped the sentiment onto “Yellow Tomatoes” in brown ink and popped up with foam dots and added extra popped triangle for focal point. Then I stamped the arrows from the Chilled Cucumber large stamp set in brown ink. The “BE” letters are from the Chilled Cucumber Shapes Sticker sheet and the “you” sticker is a yellow wise words choice. To complete the card I added the pearl and blue gemstone bling to dress up the butterflies just a bit.
The result is a fun card for an adult or a teen in your life. So take the message of the card to heart and “Be original, Be You.” Have a great day!

Nicole here today to share with you a quick card made using more of the Bella Blvd cling stamps.
Thanks For Everything card by Nicole Nowosad
These stamps are really versatile. The heart shapes get me everytime, so I use them stamped onto both cardstock in blue ink and on Bella Blvd patterned paper in black. Although these stamps are from a different product line, they co-ordinate so well by just simply changing up the color of ink or what paper you stamp it on!

Masculine cards in time for Father's Day!

You are the Man Card

Hello There! This is Kim with you today for my first official blog post as a Hampton Arts Design Team Member!  I’ve been having a ton of fun playing with all my new stamps.  My cards today are created with Echo Park’s “All About a Boy” Collection of papers and coordinating stamp set from Hampton Arts!

You are the Man card by Kim Holmes

To make my banners, I first inked around only the outside edge of the stamp and embossed the border with my black embossing powder to create two “blank” banners.  The third time I stamped the whole image on the yellow patterned paper.  This would make the focal point of my banner and card.

One Amazing Guy card by Kim Holmes

My favorite stamp in this collection is the vertical ruler stamp.  This is such a versatile stamp and can be used on so many projects.  For my card today, I used it to border the main image of my card design.  I love how it looks embossed in black on the denim patterned paper!  The spinner stamp completed my project by leading your eye to the sentiment.

Hey There card

Good morning! Pam here today to share with you a card I created using the Hampton Art licensed Echo Park Oh Snap stamps.

Hey There card by Pam Brown

One of my favorite design principles is creating a visual triangle. When you are able to do so, it is an effective and simple way to lead your eye around the design or put emphasis on a specific part of your project. Here I used the doilies and the arrows to create balance on the card and draw your eye to the sentiment.

Garden Album by Gloria Stengel

Secret Garden Mini Album

By Gloria Stengel

I created an 8x8 inch mini album with pockets for tags and photo mats for the photos. The album contains 7 pages, including the cover.

I used a Graphic 45 8x8 Easel Album Staples.

This is the front cover. I stamped the images with brown ink and then distressed the cardstock with inks for a vintage feel.

This is a close-up of the cover. I love the vintage roses and the crochet butterfly.

Page one is a pocket page holding photo mats and tags.
This is what it looks like with the tags removed.

The tags for the pocket page.

Page two contains a photo mat that also holds a few tags.

Page three has space for two small photos.

Page four has space for one larger photograph.

Close-up of the chipboard butterfly and sentiment.

Page five contains a journaling spot that is also a pocket for a number of tags.

Please note: the vintage lady is NOT a stamp. The tags came pre-printed with the image. I stamped the French Country stamps on the tag for extra decoration, plus I inked the edges of the tag.
Page six contains another photo mat with tags tucked behind.

This is the back cover.
