I created an altered shadow box filled with patriotic colors to honor my older brother Larry, who served in the US Navy.
The box is a "drawer" from a Graphic 45 Matchbook Box Staples and measures 8x8 inches. I covered all the sides of the box with decorative paper.
The dimension of the box was perfect for adding many lumpy embellishments to the altered tag.
I stamped images onto paper and then cut them out with die templates. I also added rosettes cut from decorative papers.
I think the saying about time being fleeting is a good one to use for this project. The photo of my brother was taken when he was 18 years old, and he is soon to celebrate his 62nd birthday! I am sure he will agree, that time is fleeting and precious.
