Distressed Butterflies Birthday Card

Happy Monday! We thought we’d give you a little break from Christmas in July (hint hint remember this post for on of the “bahumbugs” to win the giveaway at the end of the month!) Designer Beverly Sizemore created a beautiful distressed card with tons of great techniques and embellishments!

Supplies:

Hampton Art licensed Diffusion Artistamps cling stamp set– Butterflies are Free (IC0153) 

Clearsnap, Inc. Colorbox Ink - Mango Tango

Clearsnap, Inc. Colorbox Archival Dye in Mudslide

Embossing Folder -- Sizzix

Cardstock -- Diecuts With A View

Rhinestones -- My Mind’s Eye and Michael’s Stores, Inc.

Rub-Ons -- Royal Brush (ROY-742GD)

Ribbon -- Michael’s Stores, Inc.

Gold Foil Board -- Grafix

Glitter Glue -- Stickles by Ranger (Gold)

Instructions:

1. Trim coral cardstock for card base. Lightly sponge brown ink

around edges. Emboss trimmed dark cranberry cardstock and

sponge edges with brown ink. Adhere to center of base.

2. Stamp script background stamp. Tear edges and sponge edges

with brown ink. Adhere along with embossed coral cardstock

on each side. Apply gold rub-on sentiments to center.

3. Stamp three butterflies and trim closely. Adhere as shown along

with embossed coral and gold foil board at top and bottom 4. Secure flowers and bow to lower right.

5. Apply glitter glue and rhinestones.
