Sparkling Birthday Card

Here's a sneak peak at some new images that are coming to Michael's.  We were able to use them in my last card making class, and everyone is waiting to get a chance to buy them!  The Sparkling Birthday Cake (PS0518) and the Happy Birthday to you (PS0519) stamps were used in this card.

Here is the finished card........

and here are the pieces used to make it!  Take a piece of magenta card stock (81/2" x 5 1/2"), folded in half for your card base.  A piece of white card stock (3 3/4" x 5"), stamp the Happy Birthday to You in light pink pigment ink diagonally across the card, then apply the ink directly to the edges of the card.  Adhere to the pink card.  Stamp the Sparkling Birthday Cake on light pink card stock (2" x 3 1/4") using a black ink pad.  Then use Cake stamp again on white card stock, this time with magenta pigment ink pad.  Cut the three layers of cake out only, and set aside.  Then stamp the sparkling candles in black ink on white card stock.  Use a 1/4" circle punch to cut them out, and set aside. Mount the light pink card stock on a piece of magenta card stock (2 1/4" x 3 1/2"), then adhere to the card base.  Take the pink three layer cake, tape a piece of sheer magenta ribbon (12") to the back, then adhere over the cake on the card stamped in black ink.  Tie the ribbon into a bow, and trim the ends.  Adhere the white candle flames over the pink ones on the card.  Then use gold glitter glue in the center of each flame.  Voila!

Here's Donna having fun making the card in class...

and here's Terri and me.
Hope you enjoyed this sneak-peak card as much as we did!
