Oh me, oh my... only 2 more designers to go after today's post! We'll try to hold back the tears! We have adored EVERY MOMENT of our first Design Team so far and we'd have to say we've got the best team around :) There is so much in store for this year and we know these crafty ladies are going to inspire your creativity and your love for Hampton Art! So lets get today started with a great friend of the trade and Design Team SUPERSTAR, seriously, she's been on 50 MILLION teams!
Name/nickname: Gloria... Mom (har de har har)
Where you live: Oceanside, CA
A brief statement about your household: My husband, Matt, and I have been married for almost 25 years; we were college sweeties. We have three children: Nathan, age 20, is in college; Laura, age 16, is in 11th grade; Jonah, age 11 is in 6th grade. We are in our 13th year of homeschooling. We also have a very fat, lazy cat named Simon.
Your crafty style & expertise: I am an equal opportunity paper crafter, but I have also dabbled in beading, cross stitching, embroidery, floral crafts, and more! I do NOT sew, knit, or crochet! I am an eclectic paper crafter, but love the vintage, shabby style the most! I am also very addicted to coloring with Copic Markers.
How long have you been stamping: I started stamping in the fall of 1990. My first stamp was a butterfly, which I stamped in black ink and colored with colored pencils. Those were the days when all my stamps fit into a cigar box! Unlike now when it would take a semi-trailer to fit all my stamps and supplies!
Favorite color: Red. Ok, it's dark, rich, chocolate brown, but that sounds boring.
Where do you draw your design inspiration from: Everywhere! Nature, fabric, clothing styles, magazines, architecture, my sleep-deprived brain...
Other design teams: Graphic 45, Imaginarium Designs, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Scrap n' Art Magazine (sketch artist). Plus, I just finished a year on the Spellbinders team!
Favorite sweet treat: Dark chocolate
Favorite salty treat: French fries. If I cannot get those, then kettle potato chips.
One random/fun fact about you: I think I am funny. The problem is my sense of humor is very cerebral, twisted, sarcastic, and a bit on the dark side. Thus, most people don't "get" me, hence they don't laugh!
This frame is SIMPLY STUNNING!
What a gorgeous card! I think Graphic 45 was made for crafters like Gloria :)
