My Favorite Lego layout by designer Patty Folchert

My son loves to head to our local Library for Lego Club once a month. So I wanted to capture one of these days for his album for him to look back on one day when he is older. I grabbed a brand new stamp set from Hampton Art and JIllibean Soup’s Saffron Yellow Pepper papers in all its fabulous colors.
My Favorite Lego by Patty Folchert

Black is not my usual base cardstock color but with these photos and this collection it was perfect. I added the multi colored chevron border strip on the left and used a neutral gray grid for the photo mats, the photos were sized to 4x4 inches. The right side was all about the circle placemat, the circles were easy to punch with my circle punch in all different coordinating patterns from the Saffron Yellow Pepper collection. I then adhered them to the placemat and then adhered the placemat to the layout as shown. That is what I have loved most about this collection, it is just as wonderful for boy layouts as it is for girl layouts- I love that versatility in a collection.  Next I started on the title card:

The black polka dot paper was the perfect base for the title cluster, next I added the green woodgrain layered behind the “My Favorite” bite size bit from that collection. Then I added the “LEGO” letters from the teal beanboard alphabet set as shown. Then I stamped the “Happy” banner in black ink onto white cardstock and fussy cut it out and added with 3D foam dots. To finish the title cluster I added the gray star sticker and blue label sticker with added mini alpha “club”.  Then to add in some texture I stitched in white thread the frame of the layout and the border strip and photos as shown. After that I cut out the Today banner from the bit size bits paper and added to the lower photo.

Then I dressed up the right side a bit with a few stamps from the same set, a couple banners and the “love” sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock. Then I added them with 3D foam dots to placemat as shown. Last I added the “Simply Fabulous” sticker from the Soup Labels sheet of Saffron Yellow Pepper Soup.

Creativity is Contagious,
Patty

Wishing You All Things Fabulous! card by designer Patty Folchert

We all have a need for a “Best Wishes” type of card from time to time. Here is a crazy cute one for those girlfriends in our lives; don’t they deserve a blinged up owl trio? This card features brand new Hampton Art stamps and Jillibean Soup papers from the Saffron Yellow Pepper Soup collection.

Wishing You All Things Fabulous! card by Patty Folchert

The floral base is from the new Saffron Yellow Pepper Soup collection, right on trend I think. The owl trio was stamped onto ivory cardstock in brown ink. Then from that same collection the blue pattern was cut as a mat and adhered to the base. The sentiment was stamped onto a notebook tag, back side in brown ink.  Then all that was left was to make Owl #2 Fabulous, so I added the two shades of blue gemstones as a necklace and earrings. Such a fun way to finish the card off, I believe-with just the right amount of bling.

This fabulous feathered trio is bound to bring a smile to your friend’s face, so make one today- or better yet make a few to keep on hand.

Stay Fabulous,
Patty
