Happy 2014! Two projects by Britt Bass

We hope you had a wonderful Holiday season with you and yours. We are ready to get the year started here at Hampton Art! Behind the scenes the team has been preparing for our Annual Tradeshow - Craft and Hobby Association (CHA). This week I will have some of the projects that we will be creating at the show with store owners and buyers. Make sure you stop back to see what Make-n-Takes we will working on each day. Until then, here are a few projects that were created by our Design Team.

Oh, Hello Joe! layout by Britt Bass

Hello there Hampton fans!!  I'm coming to you today in order to share featuring stamps, paper and embellishments from the Jillibean Soup “Irish Farmhouse Soup”.

I had these really great pictures of my uncle and when I saw the “Families are like Fudge..” journaling card I knew I had to use the Irish Farmhouse Soup collection.

I wanted to show off some of the Irish Farmhouse Soup stamps, but I didn't really see a good place to add stamps the way I usually do – stamping and cutting out of light-colored cardstock and adding it as an embellishment.  So, I decided to use my white embossing powder and stamp right on top of my patterned paper.  I love the contrast between the paper and the white embossing.
This stamp set is awesome because it has lots of neat little odds and ends – price tags, bicycles, etc. I really love the little pointer finger! (lower left hand corner)

Good day people!  It’s Britt Bass here, bringing you a super cute card using the Button Bingo Jillibean Soup stamp set.
The moment I saw this set I couldn’t wait to get out my buttons, thread, and Sew Easy to make this card!
Button Bingo card by Britt Bass

I stamped the bingo card, cut it out and then I poked the sewing holes to make it easier to sew on the paper.  I LOVE buttons, so the button-picking process was probably more extensive than it should have been – but hey, let me have my fun!
When I was done sewing the buttons, I cut the little blue woodgrain piece and added the zigzag stitching.  I layered it all up, but I still needed a sentiment – “Sew Happy For You” from the same little stamp set did the trick nicely!
