Merry Christmas from Hampton Art!

All of us here at Hampton Art wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.

Well we have arrived and it is officially the season of Holiday card making. So I thought I would share a vintage Christmas card with you today. It was made with Graphic 45 Papers and a Gloria Stengel/Hampton Art Wood stamp for the sentiment.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas card by Patty Folchert

The two tone red card base was cut from Graphic 45 Renaissance Faire Collection/Enlightened Paper. Then I cut out the two evergreen mats from the same collection Florentine paper.  The main Santa paper is from the Graphic 45/A Place in Time Paper Pad for December. It was cut out and the edges distressed then added with foam dots. The tag is from the same collection, I stamped the “Merry Little Christmas” sentiment in brown ink first then cut it out and hole punched the tag. The tag piece was distressed and adhered to the evergreen mat with foam dots and the light blue ribbon was added tied into a bow.  Here is a close up shot:

Then a triangle photo corner was added to the top right from the Renaissance Faire collection and it was distressed as well and added with foam dots. The final touch of bling came from the Studio 112 three Gold stars added as shown.

Just in time for the season, an easy card to put together.  Best wishes for a wonderful Holiday season for you and yours.

Happy Holidays,
Patty

Fantastic Christmas cards by Gretchen McElveen and Britt Bass

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas card by Gretchen McElveen
Supplies:
KI Memories “Celebrate” 6x6 Paper Pad
KI Memories Bakery Twine
Jillibean Soup Kraft Woodgrain Frames
Jillibean Soup Corrugated Shapes - Butterflies
How about a little unconventional Christmas card inspiration?!! I used some traditional green & red here but I also threw in some more colorful patterned paper for the background of this card. I also used some woodgrain and corrugated cardboard embellishments to add to the “unconventional” look. But, hey, I think it works! Merry Christmas!

Hi there! I’ve got a little Christmas card inspiration for you this morning. I used one of the Jillibean Soup Doilies to make a large flower for this Christmas card. Then I used 2 different KI Memories 6x6 paper pads to make the background of the card and the leaves for the flower. I used some KI bling to add some sparkle to the center of the flower. I added a simple sentiment and VOILA! Done! Thanks for looking!

Christmas is right around the corner but it is not too late to make and send out Christmas cards! Here is an easy card idea for you. I just stamped a sentiment on white cardstock, cut it out, matteed it on colored paper, and added it to the center of the card. I kept the background of the card really simple and then jazzed up the stamped sentiment by adding a little bling around it. Easy! Now go make some for yourself! Merry Christmas!

Here is a fun and simple Christmas card idea for you! I added one of the Jillibean Soup doilies to the background of the card. Then I added a couple strips of patterned paper across it, tied some twine around it, and added a simple sentiment right on the doily. I finished the card off with a little bling. Done! And it didn’t take me long at all. At this rate I could make several more cards in time to send out before Christmas. Thanks for looking and merry Christmas!

Good day!  Britt Bass here to bring you a cute Christmas card featuring the adorable elf Jillibean Soup licensed stamp set!
The Elves Are Watching You card by Britt Bass

I had a sweet little idea that a miniature elf and elfina (hah!) would be sent to all the BAD boys and girls in a post card that reminded them that the elves were WATCHING.  The card really grew from there.
I stamped the little elves in black ink and colored them with alcohol markers.  I stamped my sentiment right onto the post card paper and then mounted everything on my cardbase.  I added the big bow to finish.

Hey Hampton fans!  Britt Bass here to share with you a card featuring TONS of Hampton Art for Hot Fudge Studio stamps!  Ever had a little trouble using all those cool little stamps effectively?  Ever had trouble coming up with a quick Christmas card easy to mass-produce?  Well, your troubles are over!
Merry Christmas card by Britt Bass

I was so happy with the way this card came out!  It was one of those ideas that I just HAD to try, but I REALLY didn’t know how it would come out.  Sometimes Ideas like that end up in the trash and some, like this one, end up working great!
Tips for collage/ multi-image stamping:
DO: Use more than one color of ink, but no more than three – after three it starts to look busy and  unfocused.
DON’T: Worry about perfect placement – this technique is purposely random and therefore, can be less  exact.
DO: Keep to mostly similar general shapes – I used a LOT of round stamps, only breaking it up with one other little star image.  It really makes my sentiment stand out because it is the only uncontained shape in the design.
DON’T: Give up.  Before you decide that this one is headed for the bin, finish stamping the whole surface – the result could be better than you thought it was going to be when you’re all done and you can’t always see then halfway through.

'JOY' Home Decor by Patty Folchert

Here is a fun way to add some holiday d├ęcor to your home. Elves are very popular around these parts, so I wanted to utilize the super cute elf stamps from the Hampton Art/Jillibean Soup Christmas Cheer Chowder stamp set.

Joy Wood Blocks by Patty Folchert

Here is a close up photo of each block:

The wood blocks were already painted white so I just selected the patterned papers: Candied Cheer, Mixed Merry and the Bite Size Bit from the Jillibean Soup Christmas Cheer Chowder line and cut them to fit the block fronts and sides. Then I adhered them to the blocks with Mod Podge under paper and over the top of papers and allowed them to dry. The “Joy” letters were cut on the Cricut in a 3 inch size of a standard font using Tossed Tinsel paper. The elves and sentiment were stamped with dark brown ink onto white cardstock and fussy cut out. I added some bling buttons to the elves in pink and green.  The letters were added with 3D foam dots and the elves with regular adhesive. The sentiment was folded up and out and then attached with 3D dots. A white silk bow finished the set nicely.

That was all it took to add a couple elves on my shelf.

Decking the Halls,
Patty

I layered over a die cut tree, layered over one of the Studio G Journaling cards! Add in a few punched snowflakes and some bling from one of the KI Memories Color Story page kits and all done! Easy right?!

Next, all I needed to do was add the beautiful sentiment from the stamp image and a few punched pieces of vellum. I added in a few bits of bling from a KI Memories Color Story page kit to add a little holiday sparkle.
