Two great projects by Design Team member Vivian Keh!

Hi there, Hampton Art fans!  Vivian Keh here today to share a colorful layout of my littlest pooch, Pupusa.  I recently discovered that she is very alpha and that much of what I do enforces her alpha status in this crew, ruh roh... A friend brought her young pup to visit, and my little girl just went nuts dominating the visitor.  I've been playing with primary colors a lot as of late, and they suited this photo well because this tiny dog brings so much wonderful color into our lives.  And it made sense to use the Hampton Art/ Echo Park "Bundle of Joy" Clear Stamp Set because this wire-y little dog is out "Little One."

Here are some detail shots. Die-cut flowers...

Stamping with blossom stamp and text stamp from set...

1. Paint, mist, splatter media onto sturdy watercolor paper.
2. Ink text with a few colors and stamp on paper.  Repeat stamping without reinking to give subtler impressions.
3. Stamp large blossom and title using your choice of ink.
4. Adhere photo to mat and then to layout.
5. Die cut blossoms from mulberry paper, mist pieces, assemble with brads, and adhere to layout.

Vivian Keh here today to share with you one of our many stamps that have dramatic silhouettes.  I played with several mists to create a beautiful sunset effect and then simply stamped on top with the Hampton Art/ Art Warehouse "Treetop" PS0707 Woodblock Stamp.

And the stamped image.  Easy drama.

NOTE: If you don't stamp the perfect image, don't worry about it!  You can easily go in with a fine marker to fill in the silhouette.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Spray your chosen mists and allow the colors to blend.  Let dry.
2. Apply distress ink and mist with water for splatter effects.  Let dry.

  4. The sunset card is WOW!!!!! I LOVE it!!!! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous card and the tutorial. This inspires me in so many, many ways. Making cards with a painted, spray background and stamping on top, fantastic. Using watercolour paper, that I will be using in the future. Your doggy baby page is beautiful, the flowers really embellish the page beautifully. The hidden journaling tag behind the picture and the tiny clothespin are great, I will use this idea for hidden journaling in the future too, this could also be used in an art journal.
