Designer a Day: Diana Kovacs

Dear, sweet Diana has been an educator with Hampton Art for a good while now, she also designed the Diffusion line of stamps! She has a precious personality and I am so thankful to have met her at a CHA or two.  Here's a little bit more about Diana so you can get to know and love her!
Diana Kovacs:

Name/nickname you go by: Diana- Different people have different names for me, some I won't share!
Where you live: East Yaphank, NY
A brief statement about your household: There's a cat for every lap, and always laundry to be done.  Too busy crafting!
What's your crafty style & expertise: I've owned a stamp store for ten years, and have designed my own stamp line for over 17 years! My artist style ranges from vintage tattered to modern oddities. But I feel that if you know your materials and your art, you can create anything.  It's basically how you feel that day.
How long have you been stamping: I picked up a rubber stamp 24 years ago.  I've been holding one ever since.
Your favorite color: Lime green
Where do you draw your design inspiration from: Inspiration is everywhere! Nature, architecture, people... I've gotten ideas walking in shopping malls and on the beach.  Most ideas pop into my head while driving, in the shower and sleeping.
Other design teams you're on: This is my first actual design team - how exciting! I do count the ladise who take my book classes as part of my design team.  We get very creative!
Your favorite sweet treat: Chocolate sour craem cake from A Rise Above in Huntington
Your favorite salty treat: A big slice of New York pizza
One random/fun fact about you: I play Webkinz everday.  Thanks to my friend Robin Beam who bought me my first one seven years ago.

She's mastered the technique of using Smooch from Clearsnap to create custom background paper!

This is a beautiful card from her new Diffusions/Spellbinders Shapeability set!
